The Band

Glen

Lead Singer / Acoustic Guitar

Glen is a first class frontman with superb vocal qualities. His charismatic stage presence is guaranteed to get the party started and draw the crowd to the dance floor. Prior to Wapscallions, Glen has supported bands such as The Christians and Big Country. Equipment: Shure mics, Roland vocal effects, Martin guitars.

Chris

Lead / Rhythm Guitar

Chris has played in a number of bands over the years, playing both original and covered songs. He loves traditional sounding valve amps and effects pedals. Chris loves playing melodic solos, catchy riffs, chunky rhythms and warm clean tones.

Having seen the Wapscallions’ energetic  set with crowds of fans dancing, smiling and having fun, he jumped at the chance to join.

Chris primarily plays his beloved 1987 Fender Stratocaster guitar through a Friedman amp and a variety of effect pedals, but the odd surprise guitar does make the occasional appearance.

Ben

Drums

Meet Ben, a lifelong groove-maker who’s been behind the kit for as long as he can remember. From early jam sessions to creating original tracks with bands across the UK, Ben brings passion, precision, and raw energy to every performance. His driving beats and creative flair have shaped the sound of multiple projects—always pushing the boundaries of what a drummer can do.

Whether it’s in the studio or on stage, Ben lives for the rhythm and knows how to make every song hit that little bit harder. He was super excited to join the Waps and bring his creative flair to the rock classics and pop hits that everyone loves to hear. His kit includes a Roland VAD506 kit, Roland VH14 hats all coupled with a Roland TD27 module.

Andy

Bass

Andy was originally a rhythm and lead guitarist  in various function and Ska bands.

He followed the Waps for years and jumped at the  chance of joining us and picking up the bass when Robbie hung up his bass for his fireman’s hat .

Andy uses a Fender Jazz Pro 2 Mark Bass and TC Electronic amps

Tim

Keys

Tim is a tight and solid keys player whether playing traditional piano based songs or adding anthemic synth riffs to the techno set. Tim`s keys allow the Waps to extend their repertoire and bring a richness of sound not experienced with more traditional guitar based bands. Equipment: Korg keyboards, Yamaha keyboards.
